(Community Relations Council Conference, Belfast 2001)
Two performances at either end of this one day conference for a wide range of community workers across the Province looking at the complex issues behind these three words that are currently the key value indicators behind community projects supported by the Community Relations Council.
“I just wanted to express how grateful I am for the excellent piece of work you & your team created for us at our recent conference.”

Substances, Peers & Families
(North Devon 2000 - 2001)
A series of audience interactive performances for young people in collaboration with Community Colleges, the police & the Health education Services, raising awareness around issues of peer pressure, particularly in relation to drug use, both legal & non legal. Wolf + Water also supplied a specially commissioned & devised piece of theatre for parents of pupils to help start & promote an ongoing parents support group. A video of this project entitled “Substance Abuse” has been produced by Devon & Cornwall Constabulary.
The Equal Opportunities Show
(South West Regional Development Agency Conference, Dartington College, Devon 2000)
A difficult commission of producing a conference opening performance to open up discussion on all aspects of equal opportunities…in 10 minutes. However, using an integrated cast of performers with & without disabilities, Wolf + Water triumphed!
Face Value
The E Files
(South Molton North Devon, 1995)
a twelve week series of sessions working with a youth group to create a drugs education video for the Youth Service & Health Education Authority. Using drama, the group explored the pluses & minuses of drug use & abuse (both illegal & legal substances), in order to take the informed debate that they had as part of this project on to a wider youth audience as part of a peer education programme.
“Wolf + Water developed a trusting relationship with the young people…the comments & the enthusiasm showed that the group loved the project”
Our Estate & Beyond the Bunker
"The Western Lands"
(1992 - with Highbridge House CRU and Great Torrington school)
was a complex piece of dance and physical theatre exploring themes of landscape and exploitation, and used over 300 projected images throughout the show.
”..a hugely ambitious piece …vulnerable, courageous, dangerous…”
Public Projects Co-ordinator, Dartington College of Arts
In "Gerald’s Restaurant"
(1991 - with Highbridge House CRU and Great Torrington School)
the audience was invited to partake in a five course meal cooked by the cast throughout the course of the show, while various strange happenings - the arrival of aliens, a raid by the Vegetable Liberation Front and the adoration of the humble onion made it a dinner date to remember.
